School Hangi

On Thursday, the school celebrated Matariki with a whole school Hangi. Throughout the day, we walked across to the Clubrooms to watch the process of how our kai was cooked. It was a lot of fun mixing with other year groups and being apart of this whole school experience. There was over 300 kai packages filled with beef, stuffing, school-grown kumara, school-grown carrots and cabbage. The food was delicious!

I loved the hangi picture because I like hangi. You brought me back to when my school had hangi on the last day of last term. Great. I liked how you put information on your blog post. It really gave me good details of what you put in the hangi.

  2. Greetings, my name is Christopher. I loved this celebration with a hangi for Matariki because in the story it says to celebrate with a hangi.
You brought me back to when my family and I celebrated a birthday.

How long did it take for the people who cooked the hangi to cook it for the whole school?
